How to play

Tap a column to drop your red disc; it falls to the lowest free square. Line up four of your discs in a row, a column or a diagonal before the computer's yellow discs do. You open the first game; after that the opening move alternates. Easy only looks one move ahead, Normal a few moves, Hard searches deep and rarely blunders. None of them plays randomly: the same moves get the same replies.

Tips

• The centre column is worth the most: more lines pass through it.
• Watch for threats stacked on top of each other; a square you must not fill because it gives the opponent the square above is the classic trap.
